Welcome to Your JCAI Assistant

This guide will walk you through the complete setup process. Please read each step carefully. As we are in active development (Beta), this process ensures a smooth and secure connection.

Before You Begin: Prerequisites

Please make sure you have the following ready:

  • A Google Account: The assistant currently requires a Google account. Please decide which Google account you will use.
  • The Telegram App: The assistant communicates via Telegram. Please ensure it's installed on your phone (from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store).

Request Access & Notify Us

Click the "Request JCAI Access" button in the top-right corner. This notifies our team that you are ready to begin.

On the form, please enter the exact Google email address you will use for the assistant. This is crucial for us to add you to our Google Cloud test users, allowing the sign-in to work.

Act on the Follow-up Email

Immediately after you submit the form, we will send you a follow-up email. This email contains a special, time-sensitive link to sign in with your Google account.

IMPORTANT: Please ensure you have a few minutes available right after submitting the form. The Google sign-in link in the email is temporary.

Authorize via Google

Click the sign-in link from the email. You will be taken to a Google permissions screen (OAuth). Because our app is in development and not yet verified by Google, this screen may look extensive.

  • Please scroll down and click 'Allow' to grant the necessary permissions.
  • These permissions are essential for the assistant to perform tasks on your behalf.

We value your trust. This process is standard for beta applications.

Get Your Telegram Token

Follow the visual guide below to get the special API Token from Telegram. You will need this for the final activation step.

4a. Find BotFather

  • Open your Telegram app.
  • Search for BotFather (look for the blue checkmark).
  • Click to start a chat.

4b. Create Your Access Point

  • In the chat with BotFather, click 'Start' or type /start.
  • Send the command /newbot to create a new access point.

4c. Name Your Access Point

  • Display Name: Provide a friendly name (e.g., My JCAI Assistant).
  • Username: Choose a unique username. It **must end in 'bot'** (e.g., MyJCAIAssistantBot).

4d. Copy Your API Token

  • BotFather will provide an **API Token**.
  • Copy this token and keep it ready for Step 5.

Activate Your Assistant

This is the final step! Click the button below to go to the JCAI connection form. You will need to provide your Google email and the Telegram API Token you just copied.

Once you submit this form, your assistant will be created and ready to use.
